Save Kauai brings together current information about Kauai and web-based tools that allow you to take action. If we want to affect the future of Kauai in a pono way we must organize and begin implementing solutions, not just fighting the problems.

WAILUA-KAPA‘A NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION
OCTOBER MEETING – SATURDAY 25th from 2-4 PM
Kapa‘a Library Meeting Room
Gregory Dunn, Hawaii Nature Center
“Wailua’s New Environmental Education Center”
The W-KNA monthly meeting will feature guest speaker Gregory Dunn discussing the Hawaii Nature Center’s plans to create an environmental education and recreation center at Wailua Reservoir. Awarded the contract by Department of Land & Natural Resources, 10 acres of former agricultural land on the northeast edge of the reservoir will be developed for recreational fresh water fishing, an interpretive center and equipment rental concession for school groups and visitors. The state will also establish a water bird sanctuary in one area of the reservoir. Bring your questions! The business portion of the meeting will provide updates on local issues and allow time to hear new concerns.
Meetings are free and open to the public from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Kapa‘a Library Meeting Room.
