Wonderful local art event featuring 25 artists with proceeds from a silent auction benefiting the Kauai Food Bank and other local agencies that help people and children on our island.

Saturday October 25th is "Make A Difference Day". It is also the day of the First Annual Unknown Artists and Silent Auction in Kalaheo at the Neighborhood Center. 10-5 with live music, food from Hanapepe Cafe, and wonderful arts and crafts from local "unknown artists". Keiki can make crafts while adult are seeing all the wonderful items for sale.

To "Make a Difference" there is a silent auction with items from over 25 artists and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Kauai Food Bank. An antique and collectibles auction will he held as well.

Please come and Make a Difference to our artists and crafters and to the island!

WAILUA-KAPA‘A NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION

OCTOBER MEETING – SATURDAY 25th from 2-4 PM
Kapa‘a Library Meeting Room

Gregory Dunn, Hawaii Nature Center
“Wailua’s New Environmental Education Center”

The W-KNA monthly meeting will feature guest speaker Gregory Dunn discussing the Hawaii Nature Center’s plans to create an environmental education and recreation center at Wailua Reservoir. Awarded the contract by Department of Land & Natural Resources, 10 acres of former agricultural land on the northeast edge of the reservoir will be developed for recreational fresh water fishing, an interpretive center and equipment rental concession for school groups and visitors. The state will also establish a water bird sanctuary in one area of the reservoir. Bring your questions! The business portion of the meeting will provide updates on local issues and allow time to hear new concerns.

Meetings are free and open to the public from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Kapa‘a Library Meeting Room.

Make A Difference Day.

We'll be planting shade trees around the new sports fields so wear your
gardening clothes.

Show up for registration is 7:30 AM AT THE NEW SPORTS FIELDS and we'll
serve lunch to the volunteers.
