Malama Kaua'i and Apollo Kaua'i are asking for an increase in the county budget for the Kaua'i Bus in order to expand services. With the cost of oil rising and the economy suffering, having accessible and convenient transportation options is an issue of economic and social justice. In addition, automobile emissions are one of the leading causes of CO2 pollution and global climate change. Please see the attached letter asking the county council for specific increases in the budget of the Kaua'i bus in order to increase services during peak commuter times, extended hours, increase in service to Hanalei, and Sunday services. If your organization or business would like to sign on to this letter, please contact Andrea at 635-1659 or andrea@malamakauai.org">andrea@malamakauai.org
